Our Traineres

Dr Tijana Mirović is a psychologist, psychotherapist, trainer, and supervisor, dedicated to helping people heal and grow through schema therapy and other trauma-informed approaches. She is an advanced-level accredited schema therapist, as well as a cognitive-behavioral / rational-emotive behavior therapist (Associate Fellow of Albert Ellis Institute) and systemic family psychotherapist.

In 2016, Tijana founded the Schema Therapy Center Belgrade, the first accredited schema therapy training center in the region. Since then, she has trained and supervised therapists in Serbia, Greece, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Syria, and Egypt.

Alongside her international teaching and supervision, she works as a psychotherapist and runs the counseling center Mozaik (Belgrade, Serbia), which she established in 2009. Until 2019, she also served as an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychology and Pedagogy at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade.

Tijana is active in professional associations, currently serving as President of the Trauma Psychology Section of the Serbian Psychological Society. Within the International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST), she is the National and Regional Certification Coordinator and a member of the Supervisor Skills Development Committee. Previously, she was a member of the Case Conceptualization Committee and the Training and Certification Quality Assurance Committee.

Passionate about raising awareness of trauma and resilience, Tijana founded the Regional Association for Stress and Trauma – NAŠ RAST, initiated the project “Trauma – Our Story”, and created and hosted the series “Heroes of Trauma” and “ZOOMing Trauma”. She is the author and co-author of Schema Therapy Cards set, three books, seven book chapters, and numerous research papers on mental health, schema therapy and trauma. She also serves as Editor-in-Chief of professional publications issued by Mozaik and the Schema Therapy Center Belgrade.

For her contributions to the development of psychotherapy, Tijana received the “Vladeta Jerotić” Award, granted by the Association of Psychotherapist Societies of Serbia.”

 

christina vallianatouChristina Vallianatou has completed her first degree in psychology at the University of Wales, Cardiff and her doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of Surrey in the UK. She is a trained supervisor (Diploma in supervision, Metanoia Institute) and an accredited schema therapist and supervisor (ISST). She has worked for the National Health Service in the UK and currently works in private practice in Athens. She also has years of teching experience in different academic settings. Her research interests, publications and conference presentations focus on the following topics: schema therapy, eating disorders and multicultural issues in psychotherapy.
